Forcibly raised from the dead by the Lich King to serve as his elite magical guard, the Lich has the burning cold of Northrend in his realm of control. Evoking numerous freezing blasts, his talent in life still remains in death. Delving into the essence of cold magic, he has the power to cause ice to condense into an orb that bounces from foe to foe, causing tremendous pain in its wake. Sacrificing his allies for magical power, the Lich is a murderer without a trace of warmth.

Blasts enemy units around a target enemy unit with a wave of damaging frost that slows movement and attack rates for 4 seconds.

Leviathan - Tidehunter



Greatest of the sea giants, Leviathan was sealed away in the aftermath of the war between the Old Gods and the Titans in ancient times. Now released by the Lich King to aid in his crusade against the Sentinel, he cleaves through waves of enemies with his mighty anchor, breaking enemy sieges before they even begin. The Phantom Lancer skills


Awwight folks, Here i'll be talking about a very versatile hero, and how to abuse him to his limits. Enjoy! Hes a force to be reckoned with!

Azwraith - The Phantom Lancer


Range: 100 | Move Speed: 290

Damage: 45 – 67 | HP: 492 | Mana: 273
HP Regen: 0.79 | Mana Regen: 0.85
Attack Speed: 1.38 | Armor: 3

Spirit Lance (T)
Throws a magical spirit from his lance at a target damaging it and slowing it down for 3 seconds. An illusion is created attacking the target.
Level 1 - Deals 100 damage and Cripples for 10%. Illusion lasts 2 seconds.
Level 2 - Deals 150 damage and Cripples for 20%. Illusion lasts 4 seconds.
Level 3 - Deals 200 damage and Cripples for 30%. Illusion lasts 6 seconds.
Level 4 - Deals 250 damage and Cripples for 40%. Illusion lasts 8 seconds.
Mana Cost: 125 / 130 / 135 / 140
Cooldown: 7
Comment: Not the best in the world, since many other skills can do more damage and even stun for more than 3 seconds. Nonetheless, it will do for the begining of the match. Use at the right time to get the kill :p.  


Doppelwalk (W)
Allows The phantom Lancer to become invisible for a period of time, leaving behind a duplicate of himself to confuse enemies. 10% movement bonus at all levels. Lasts 8 seconds.
Level 1 - 150 mana.
Level 2 - 120 mana.
Level 3 - 90 mana.
Level 4 - 60 mana.
Mana Cost: 150/120/ 90/ 60
Cooldown: 30/ 25/ 20/15 seconds
Comment: This skill is a work of art, its a double bladed sword(has 2 purposes). 1st is in attack, second is in fleeing. I will discuss both later on.


Juxtapose (X)
Whenever the Phantom Lancer attacks he will randomly create a duplicate of himself. Limit of 5 images. Duplicates last 15 seconds.
Level 1 - 3% chance.
Level 2 - 6% chance.
Level 3 - 9% chance.
Level 4 - 12% chance.
Mana Cost: N/A
Cooldown: N/A
Comment: Well, looking at this skill alone might make u think its not worth it because it may not proc much.. Well you are right, but thats why Phantom Edge exists.. Anyways, good thing about this skill is that it's copies are actually dispendable, unlike the ones from mirror image or the chaos knight's ultimate. The reason is that you can always munch out more of those guys if they die.


Phantom Edge (D)
Gives the Phantom Lancer an edge in combat by increasing Juxtapose's image generation and increasing magic resistance. Additionally, it enables his images to generate their own images.
Level 1 - 10% magic resistance, 3% chance illusions will duplicate, 2% increase in Juxtapose.
Level 2 - 15% magic resistance, 5% chance illusions will duplicate, 4% increase in Juxtapose.
Level 3 - 20% magic resistance, 7% chance illusions will duplicate, 6% increase in Juxtapose.
Mana Cost: N/A
Cooldown: N/A
Comment: Atlast, This ultimate skill is extremely powerful for Azwraith, since now his copies can proc on juxtapose too! Trust me folks, you do not wanna see that coming at you! THis one also increases duplication chances for you too, and increases your survivability with increased evasion..

Level 3 - Raises 4 Treants for 60 seconds.
Level 4 - Raises 5 Treants for 60 seconds.

Cooldown: 37 seconds

Wrath of Nature (W)
Summons damaging energy to swath around the map and damage random enemies. Each enemy hit beyond the first adds 7% damage. Number of bounces increases per level.
Level 1 - Deals 140 base damage. Maximum of 12 targets.
Level 2 - Deals 180 base damage. Maximum of 14 targets.
Level 3 - Deals 225 base damage. Maximum of 16 targets.

Level 2 - Gains 10% of attack damage.
Level 3 - Gains 15% of attack damage.

Comment: This is a great skill that will increase in value mid/late game. It combination with the Skeleton King's high critical strikes you will find yourself not returning to base to heal yourself.


 Critical Strike

()
Gives 15% chance to do more damage on an attack.
Level 1 - 1.25 times normal damage.
Level 2 - 1.75 times normal damage.
Level 3 - 2.25 times normal damage.
Level 4 - 2.75 times normal damage.
Mana Cost: N/A
Cooldown: N/A
Comment: Do not let the 15% deceive you! This spell prots, activates quite often and deals massive damage at level 4. 


Reincarnation

(R)
When killed, this hero will come back to life at the cost some mana.
Level 1 - 300 second cooldown.
Level 2 - 220 second cooldown.
Level 3 - 140 second cooldown.
Mana Cost: 100/ 150/ 200
Cooldown: 300/ 220/ 140
Comment: This is arguably the best ultimate because you reincarnate with full health and mana. (I will discuss the importance of this later).

Balanar, the Night Stalker

1. Void and Crippling Fear
Void has a mini-stun at night--that's the first thing we have to remember. So when facing those channeling heroes, we have to reserve our void for those critical moments. Crippling Fear, which is a silencing spell at night, can also be used for the same purpose. The important thing though, is to always be alert. When using Balanar, we should not just focus on the enemy we are "hunting." Sometimes, we overkill him/her by casting Void and Fear at the hero, and thus disregarding any other threat in the battlefield.

Balanar is a Team Hero

Let us get rid of the stereotypical Night Stalker that hunts enemies once night falls. No, he should be a team player and should be active during team pushes and clashes, where his disabling spells become most useful. Think of it this way, you only subdue one enemy when you hunt then kill using these spells. But when involved with your team, disabling two heroes at the same time may lead to two or more kills, and more survival for your team.

So next time you get hold of this ugly vampire, analyse your enemies first. Plan ahead. Who do I void? Who do I cripple? And the most important thing--WHEN? Which brings us to...

Timing

This is an important consideration when playing Balanar. As he has a meager mana pool, it is vital to conserve his spells, using them only when they're most needed. How does timing comes to play?

Well, you cast Fear to silence, right? Then never cast Fear after a nuker has just dished out his/her spells. It's useless! After the Fear wears off, the cooldown has ended too so it's nuking spree for him/her again. Bottomline: Cast Fear only when you feel your enemy is about to fight back using spells or make an escape using the same (Blink Dagger, for example).

Void, on the other hand, is used to slow enemies down. Sometimes, it's really fun to watch your Balanar chase hopeless heroes, then Voiding them to oblivion. But this is just plain childish. When you know the enemy has absolutely no means of escape, and his allies are far away, don't waste 145 mana for a finishing Void. Instead, conserve it, in case you get counter-ambushed after awhile.

Also, never, ever cast Void if you are not going for the kill. You pay lots of mana for the slow. If you are not really going to utilize it, then don't cast it. Let your other nuker teammates do the harassing.


2. Darkness


As I've mentioned above, Balanar is a Team Player. He should be one. Therefore, in my opinion, the team should make organized assaults once night falls. Instead of Balanar chasing poor Rylai once the clock hits 18:00, he should join his team and take towers down, or ambush enemies altogether. Yes, not chase loners down. It's good, yes, that you get the kills but believe me, you're doing your team more good if you lead them in battle. Augment your team's power with your Hunter in the Night and Spells. Be a team player.

Conversely, Darkness should be cast during those critical moments for your team. Say, it's still broad daylight and you need to take a base tower down. Cast Darkness then gather your teammates and break into their base. This skill may also be used as a pre-emptive spell--something that will ward enemies away from the center point (the river crossing). There's a psychological effect that whenever you turn Darkness on (what a pun!), the feeders or the "weaklings" among the enemy ranks tremble in fear. Make sure your team benefits from this "effect."

Lastly, browse the section above (Void and Fear) and think of other ways to incorporate Timing into Darkness, then Darkness with Balanar's other skills. Just please, please remember--Balanar may be a hunter, but if he hunts with the team, he'll be more heroic or hero-like. Whatever.

P.S. In lieu of this, I do not recommend Sange and Yasha for Balanar because you pay for the MS bonus here. If your Balanar is a team player, he does more hitting, and less chasing. Remember that in team battles, enemies are compelled NOT to run because if they run, they would just let their team down. So I suggest, get damage dealing and life stealing items to make Balanar the team player he really should be.

 To build dota spirite Breaker (SB), you buy a power tread, because good for ganging not like phase boots, phase boots gives damage and moving through creep. Then Armlet of mordiggion, have a attack spped HP boost. Remember dont buy SnY, having slow and speed doesn't much for SB. The best build for SB or spirit breaker such as mask of madnes, monkey king bar, black king bar, and buy any lifesteal items

Dota Skill Level Clanwars

If you play with a group and play against there other low level clans. You can play a decent DP/TC/Necro/Dirge you can win the game by yourself. Well Dirge as long as yourteammates can autoattack. If you're playing low skilled players, i'd say pick enchantress. they lack the skill to burst her down before she activates wisps. As a rule of thumb, if you have first pick, never ban NA, and if you have second pick, always ban NA
In general, the lower skilled the game, the less fluid and co-ordinated the teamplay. Pushing works well for sure, utilising heroes like rhasta, DP, warlock, undying, leshrac. The lower-skilled the teams, the harder they seem to find it to fully push through and end a game - giving you extra chance to farm a carry. You can pair a jugger up with rhasta/cm for nice lane control + carrying capacity, or whatever else floats your boat. Just be careful your opponents aren't clever enough to send a strong dual lane against your solo, or you have a plan for if they do

DotA Allstars 6.61c Released by IceFrog and Ready for Download




IceFrog released DotA Allstars 6.61c.This version is supposed to fix problems with latest Warcraft III 1.24 patch. But IceFrog recommends wait with updating of Warcraft III version till DotA 6.62 is out.

The Last Word

Episode 3 of The Last Word airs Wednesday, August 12 at 10pm EST.

This week the the DotA show will be covered with your host as always, Akiri, and co-hosted by a long time member of the DotA Allstars forums. This is a person that hardly even plays DotA, but knows and loves it immensely! Recently been promoted to DA forum administrator, this person knows his DotA, and constantly checking out American, European, Aussie and every other region that DotA is highly competitive.

CEVO-Pro division predictions will be brought to you by North America DotA Syndicate staff members from NADotA.com. The representative will be giving you the recap of matches that have been played up until Wednesday, how the predictions turned out, as well as predictions on matches that have yet to be played for the week.

Also this week we are going to start our transition into covering more areas of the globe. We will start this by moving from primarily North American coverage to the Europeans and their style of play, as well as competitive matches and tournaments going on at the moment.

How can i create a game for Dota on warcraft?

I know like something about the port or i dont know. When i create a game on battlenet, nobody joins. Is it a firewall or something? How do i get rid of wutever is not letting anyone join my game.
If every single time you create any games and no one ever seems to join, tis may indeed be due to your Firewall. There is a port that needs to be opend up to allow other players to see and join your game.


If you are able to have other people join your other games, then it may be because no one wants to join your game.

But I think it's more because of a port setting on your fire wall.

Check the Battlenet website under support settings and see which port you need to have open.
It's not because of the firewall.

It's just they like playing with their own friends.

Warcraft 3 Patch 1.24 - Download


New patch is out and custom map virus bug is fixed.
Patch is only available on Westfall (ClassicBeta), and new DotA 6.61b and 6.62 beta maps are not working on this patch. DotA 6.59d and DotA 6.61c work on patch 1.24
